Branding & Interdisciplinary Production

THE PUBLIKUM CALENDAR WAS PRINTED AND PRODUCED BY PUBLIKUM, PRINTING HOUSE, IN BELGRADE, SERBIA. NADA RAY CO-FOUNDED THIS PROJECT AND FOR 15 CONSECUTIVE EDITIONS SHE SERVED AS A STRATEGIST AND INTERDISCIPLINARY CONTENT PRODUCER. PUBLIKUM CALENDAR WAS ENVISIONED TO BE A BRANDING VEHICLE FOR PUBLIKUM AND A COMMUNITY PLATFORM THAT BROUGHT TOGETHER CREATIVES FROM VARIOUS FIELDS BOTH IN SERBIA AND WORLDWIDE.  

This example showcases the 2007 Publikum Calendar "Gobbleddy-Gook" designed by Paula Scher. For the 2007 edition, Ray worked with Paula Scher for over a year.

Paula sher and her team designed the calendar, the process book, furniture, and dinnerware inspired by the Serbian Cyrillic alphabet. Ray worked with paula scher producing on the press all print and collateral, a project exhibition in the museum of contemporary art in Belgrade, and the art directors club nyc. In addition, nada ray directed the documentary with scher and her team working at the pentagram office, ray curated schers solo poster show in belgrade, the accompanying press conference held in the belgrade city hall, and a lecture for design students in the cultural center of belgrade. For all deliverables of this large scope project, ray was one of two lead members of the publikum calendar team that conceptualized the branding strategy.
